VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is an IRS program that offers free tax preparation services. Sites are run by trained volunteers and are located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and credit unions. Anyone* with an annual household income of $50,000 or less is qualified to take advantage of the services available at VITA sites.
