The Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions is offering two $1,000 scholarships in 2013 for students wanting to attend college. One scholarship will be awarded to a traditional student, defined as a graduating high school senior or someone in college with less than a three-year gap since high school. The other scholarship will be awarded to a non-traditional student, defined as someone who has been out of school for at least three years. These scholarships can be issued to any accredited college or secondary education facility. To apply. students must be a member of a credit union that is in the Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions.
Completed scholarship applications must be returned by April 1 to Altana FCU or any of the other credit unions in the chapter. The winners will be contacted by May 1 and invited to attend our May credit union chapter meeting for recognition.
