Altana Federal Credit Union employees invited Boulder Elementary second grade students to participate in creating an art project to be auctioned off to benefit Relay for Life.
Teacher Mrs. Patrick allowed employees from Altana to speak with the students about sharing their money in ways that benefit others, such as charities like Relay for Life. Students were encouraged to participate in the discussion about Relay for Life and the impact it can have on our community. Emily Nantz from The American Cancer Society joined in to answer questions.
The Chair for Charity allowed the students to “lend a hand” in creating the painted chair. Each child dipped their hands in colorful paints to transform the chair into an art piece. The chair will be auctioned off at Altana Federal Credit Union’s annual fundraiser for Relay on June 15th from 6-9 at Bones Brewing. All proceeds will go directly to Relay for Life.
