How do I open a youth savings account?
You can open a youth account online or visit one of our Altana locations, with a $5 deposit required to establish membership.
Can a minor open a savings account without an adult?
An adult joint owner is required to open an account for a minor.
Does a youth savings account earn dividends?
Accounts with a minimum balance of $25 earn dividends.
Do you have a savings account for teens?
Yes, once a Cubby member turns 12 they are officially in the fyi teen club, with savings and checking for ages 13-18.
What is required for my kid and me to register for Zing?
Both parent/guardian and kid or teen must be members with active Altana accounts. Parent/guardian must be a joint owner of the youth account, and both must have digital banking access.
Kids and teens need their own digital baking login credentials to access Zing independently. Parents may still manage on their behalf. Explore more here!
