How do I open a teen savings or checking account?
You can open a youth account online or visit one of our Altana locations with a $25 deposit required to establish membership.
Can a minor open a savings account without an adult?
An adult joint owner is required to open an account for a minor.
Does a youth savings account earn dividends?
Accounts with a minimum balance of $25 earn dividends.
What is required to register for Zing?
Both parent/guardian and teen must be members with active Altana accounts. Parent/guardian must be a joint owner of the youth account, and both must have digital banking access.
Teens need their own digital baking login credentials to access Zing independently. Parents may still manage on their behalf. Explore more here!
