A New Chapter for Altana
The Board of Directors of Altana Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Hagadone of Billings, Montana, as the credit union’s new President and CEO. Hagadone succeeds Rhonda Diefenderfer, who is retiring in May after 30 years with the organization, including 20 years as President and CEO.
The Board welcomes Hagadone with great enthusiasm and looks forward to his dynamic leadership as he guides Altana into its next chapter.
A Strong Financial Services Background
Hagadone has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. His experience includes retail banking with Wells Fargo and commercial lending with Stockman Bank. In 2013, Diefenderfer hired Hagadone to serve as Altana’s Business Lending Manager. He later advanced to Vice President of Business Lending and became a key member of the senior leadership team.
Board Chairman Richard A. Nauman Sr. noted that Hagadone’s commitment to the communities and members Altana serves aligns closely with the credit union’s community-focused valuesโvalues that Diefenderfer championed throughout her tenure.
Celebrating Rhonda Diefenderfer’s Legacy
When Diefenderfer became President and CEO in 2001, growth and expansion were central to her vision. Under her leadership, Altana grew from two branches with $56 million in assets to seven branches serving members across seven counties, with nearly $400 million in assets.
“It’s been an amazing twenty years and a true honor and privilege to have served as Altana’s President/CEO,” said Diefenderfer. “I leave behind an incredible team that is ready and able to lead Altana into the next 20 years. I’m excited to watch it all happen from the sidelines.”
About Jason Hagadone
Hagadone and his wife, Ciara, have two sons, Graham (5) and Griffin (18 months).
He currently serves as Board President for Big Sky Senior Services, where he has volunteered for the past six years. Hagadone holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Rocky Mountain College.
“I’m excited to begin this new chapter in Altana’s long and storied history,” Hagadone said. “We’ll continue to build on the foundation that Rhonda has created, and I look forward to contributing to our continued growth and success.”
