It is essential – and easy – to inform your credit union when you’re leaving town for a significant amount of time. With digital banking, you can check your balance, deposit checks, pay bills, and let us know you’ll be going global without missing your connecting flight!
Do I have to let you know when I’ll be traveling?
It’s our job to stay on top of your financial activity to keep your money safe, and one we take very seriously. Card and identity theft can happen anywhere! By taking a second to alert us of your travels, we can differentiate potential fraudulent activity from your legitimate financial activity and avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of blocked cards.
Fortunately, it takes no time to tell us where, when, and how long you’ll be gone!
Here’s how to use your mobile app to let us know when you’ll be traveling:
- Log into your Altana Mobile App.
- If you don’t yet have our mobile app (you really should – it’s easy to use and super handy), click here to get started.
- Locate the “Message” feature on your Dashboard. It looks like this:
- Begin a message to our Support Center, letting us know your travel destination and dates.
- Submit, and let us take care of the rest!
Is it that easy?
Yup! Our team will ensure this notice is placed on the card and confirm it with you via an in-app message. Happy travels!
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
No smartphone, no problem! If you don’t have a smartphone, you can notify us of your travel plans via the desktop version of our Online Banking platform. Find that “Message” icon and follow the same steps mentioned above.
Even though we’d so love to be on vacay with you, we’ll take this as the next best option! Keeping you and your money safe, even from a distance, is what we’re here for.
