What is Zing?
Zing is Altana’s youth banking platform for kids and teens ages 6 to 25. It works like a financial coach in their pocket, helping kids learn to earn, save, spend, and budget while their grown-ups stay involved.
With Zing, kids and teens can:
- Complete chores for cash
- Set savings goals
- Build budgets and track spending.
- Earn rewards for good grades.
- Get an allowance automatically.
- Earn trophies for activities.
Parents can also assign tasks and chores and help manage their kid’s account.
Already using a family financing app?
If your family uses an app whose name sounds something like Schreenlight, Zing will feel pretty familiar. The main difference is that Zing is built into Altana’s digital banking and comes with no monthly fee!
So instead of paying for another app to help your kids learn money skills, you can use tools that are already part of your Altana membership.
Same goal: helping kids build financial confidence. No extra fees.
It’s where the growth happens.
Zing isn’t just about giving kids a place to put money. It gives them a chance to practice making real money decisions.

Ready to get started?
If you and your kid are already Altana members, getting Zing started is easy:
1. Log in to Altana digital banking or the mobile app.
2. Find the Zing widget and click “Get Started.”
3. Complete the registration and add your kid or teen.
Both the parent/guardian and child or teen need active Altana accounts and digital banking access. Kids and teens also need their own digital banking login to use Zing independently.
If you don’t see the Zing widget, scroll to the bottom of your dashboard, select Organize Dashboard, then Add Card, and choose Zing.
Give them a head start this school year.
